
The middle school boys wrestling team placed 10th in the 32-team Lakota Invite with 92 points. Graham Knepper was the 2nd at 160 pounds with a 5-1 record, DJ Orcelletto was 4th at 142 with a 3-2 record, Stone Meggitt (92) and Nick Vargo (172) were both 6th with 4-2 records.

The middle school girls wrestling team placed seventh in the Tinora Invite with 40 points. Hope Scherger won the 128-pound weight class pinning all three of her opponents. Tinley Thieroff placed second in the 80-pound weight class. There were 45 schools in the tournament.

It's officially Winter Break! We hope you have a relaxing, joy-filled break and we can't wait to see you back in the new year! Classes resume on January 4th!


The midde school boys basketball teams split home games against Gibsonburg - the 7th grade won, 21-19, as Owen Herrig scored eight points; the 8th grade lost, 40-39, as Ish Nagy scored 13 points and Caden Hilt eight points.

The middle school boys basketball teams split games at home with Danbury - the 8th grade won, 44-21, as Mason Mcgee scored 12 points and Collin Perkins added 10 points; the 7th grade lost, 47-35, as Owen Herrig scored 14 points and Bowen Ish scored 12 points.

The middle school girls basketball teams split games at Danbury - the 8th grade won, 36-5, as Addison Lowry scored 10 points, Payton Whitcum scored 9, and Olivia Schreck added 8; the 7th grade lost, 16-10, as Samantha Alarcon and Liv Sentle each scored four points.

The middle school girls wrestling team was 8th in the 27-team field at the Clyde Invite with 73 points. Hope Scherger placed second at 128 pounds with a 4-1 record. Vida Hernandez was 3-1 and placed third at 110 pounds, and Elena Reif was 2-2 and placed fourth at 98 pounds.

The middle school boys wrestling team won 3 of 6 matches in a dual tournament hosted by Lake. Bryce Ruch, DJ Orcelletto, and Graham Knepper won all six of their matches. Lucas Caldwell and Zach Garber had 5-1 records. The Wildcats beat Lake, Gibsonburg, and Bowling Green.

The middle school boys basketball teams lost games at Calvert - the 7th grade lost 30-15 as Owen Herrig scored five points and John Schreck scored four points; the 8th grade lost, 41-38, as Collin Perkins scored 14 points and Luke Karchner and Caden Hilt both added eight points.

The middle school girls basketball teams split at home with Calvert - the 8th grade won in overtime, 27-18, as Lacey Lipstraw scored 14 points and Olivia Schreck added five points; the 7th grade lost a 35-13 decision as Samantha Alarcon scored six points.

Mrs. Floro's middle school STEAM class recently did a gallery walk of their Wonder Workshop research posters. Now, they are coding their "Dash" robots to complete specific tasks! How fun!

The midddle school boys basketball teams split on the road at St. Mary CC - the 8th grade won, 41-23, as Ish Nagy scored 20 points and Collin Perkins added 11 points; the 7th grade lost, 47-13, as Jack Avers scored five points.

The midde school girls basketball teams split home games with St. Mary CC - the 8th grade won, 44-16, as Payton Whitcum scored 14 points and Karli Heins added nine points; the 7th grade lost, 38-20, as Myra Huss scored 10 points and Samantha Alarcon scored six points.

The JH girls wrestling team had two champions at the Bryan Invite. Tinley Thieroff won at 86 pounds and Hope Scherger was the champ at 128. Vida Hernandez was second at 116 pounds and Elena Rief was fourth at 98 pounds. Arieanna Blackmore wrestled at 110 pounds.

This coming Thursday, December 14th, the PTO will be hosting the annual Santa Shop! Information should have gone home with your student this past week - please reach out to your child's teacher if you did not get the form.
