Chess club started yesterday at the Middle School with a new addition this year! Mr. Ball opened up the club to 2nd-4th grade students as well, and what a turnout! Middle school played first, and then made sure everything was set up for the elementary students. A few even stuck around to help some of the newer players learn the game. Thank you to Mr. Ball for leading the group, and thank you to our middle schoolers for being great role models for our younger Wildcats!

Our 6th graders are reading The Hunger Games in their English class and ran their own reaping yesterday. The tributes will serve as representatives of the tributes in the book so that they can keep track of which district tributes have been eliminated and which are still in the running as the book continues. Students were asked to dress nicely, just like the characters in the book. Some of our staff even joined in! May the odds be ever in your favor!
