
The 8th grade boys basketball team earned a 37-31 win at St. Joseph Central Catholic. Caden Hilt scored 8 points, Connor Orcelletto scored 7, and Ish Nagy scored 6.

The MS boys wrestling team finished 4th in the Northwood Invite with 170.5 points. Stone Meggitt was 2-0 at 86 pounds, DJ Orcelletto was 4-0 at 134, and Zach Garber was 4-0 at 205 to win their weight class. Lucas Caldwell was 3-1 at 110 to place 2nd. Four wrestlers placed 3rd.

The middle school girls wrestling team had two placers in a tournament at Fremont Ross today. Elena Reif lost in the final to place second at 98 pounds. She had a 3-1 record. Tinley Thieroff had a 1-1 record at 86 pounds to place second.

The varsity and JV boys basketball games this evening (Jan. 19) vs. Old Fort at home have been cancelled.

The middle school boys basketball teams split games at Gibsonburg - the 8th grade won, 43-24, as Connor Orcelletto scored 14 points and Collin Perkins added 9 points; the 7th grade lost, 25-19, as Owen Herrig scored 8 points and Bowen ish added 7 points.

As a reminder, the second quarter ends tomorrow, so we will have a 2 hour early release on Friday, January 19th!

The middle school boys wrestling team had five champions and placed second in the Chuck Mason Invite at Fostoria with 188 points. Noah Day (80), Bryce Ruch (92), Stone Meggitt (98), Lucas Caldwell (110), and Graham Knepper (160) all won their weight class.

The middle school girls basketball teams lost games at home to New Riegel - the 7th grade lost, 35-12, as Myra Huss scored four points; the 8th grade lost, 22-18, as Karli Heins scored seven points and Payton Whitcum added four points.

The 7th grade boys basketball team lost a 33-7 decision at New Riegel. Jack Avers scored three points.

Woodmore Power of the Pen!
Power of the Pen is a creative writing competition for Ohio 7th and 8th graders. Their first tournament is February 3 at Tiffin Middle School. This is Woodmore's 24th 🙌 year of competition!

8th grade: Sophie Bell, Bella Goings Violet Davis, Alexa Elder

Parents and kinship caregivers! Sandusky County JFS just made us aware of this neat program! On the 3rd Tuesday of every month (except August and December), they will be hosting a parent cafe to discuss the joys and challenges of parenting. Bonus - childcare and dinner is provided!
