The varsity boys basketball team lost a 70-44 decision at Port Clinton. Brady Thatcher led the way with 26 points. The JV team lost, 44-31, as Logan Migliori scored 8 points, and the freshman team lost, 54-14, as Bradley Fetzer scored 6 points.

The varsity boys basketball team dropped a 60-42 decision at home to Edison. Luke Morris was the only Wildcat in double figures scoring 19 points. Woodmore trailed 34-16 at halftime. The JV team lost, 52-46. Gavin Donley scored 15 points.

The middle school boys wrestling team placed 10th in the 32-team Lakota Invite with 92 points. Graham Knepper was the 2nd at 160 pounds with a 5-1 record, DJ Orcelletto was 4th at 142 with a 3-2 record, Stone Meggitt (92) and Nick Vargo (172) were both 6th with 4-2 records.

The high school girls wrestling team placed 11th of 47 schools with 61 points in the Tinora Invite. Stella Strong finished third in the 140-pound division with a 3-1 record while Caydie Buchanan was fourth at 135 pounds with a 4-2 record.

The middle school girls wrestling team placed seventh in the Tinora Invite with 40 points. Hope Scherger won the 128-pound weight class pinning all three of her opponents. Tinley Thieroff placed second in the 80-pound weight class. There were 45 schools in the tournament.

Woodmore ended the game on a 26-7 run to come from 17 points down early in the fourth quarter to defeat Danbury, 73-71, at home. Brady Thatcher scored 31 points, 24 in the second half, and Luke Morris scored 23 points, including a three-point play with 10 seconds left to win it.

The boys JV basketball team earned a 53-27 win at home over Danbury. Freshman Gavin Donley scored 21 points and sophomore Ryan Maynard added 14 points. Woodmore outscored the Lakers, 20-6, in the third quarter to open up a 19-point lead.

The HS wrestling team lost a dual match at Port Clinton, 42-33, and won a dual vs. Clay JV, 44-27. Seniors Jack Caldwell and Brant Deal, along with junior Matt Caldwell and sophomores Bailey Jendrzejak and Michael Seeger all won two matches.

"Annie" actors and team members met this past Sunday for some holiday fun. Students received their scripts and schedules, decorated cookies and played several games. Rehearsals begin in January at the Woodville location where the real work will begin.
