The varsity football team lost a heartbreaking 15-13 decision at Seneca East in their Div. VI regional playoff game. Seneca East scored all their points in the 1st half, Woodmore all their points in the third quarter. Landon Rich had 2 scoring runs and rushed for 96 yards.

Kelsey Kaylor scored her second goal of the game with 10:21 left in the second overtime to propel Woodmore to a 3-2 win over Archbold in the Div. V regional semifinal in Norwalk. The Wildcats advance to the regional final Saturday in Tiffin against Mansfield Christian.

The district will be providing a spirit bus for the varsity football playoff game at Seneca East on Friday evening, 10/31! The bus will leave at 5:15 pm from the high school. We will need at least 20 high school students signed up to go. There will be no cost for the bus, but students are responsible for the cost of admission into the game. Please sign up in the high school office on Wednesday and Thursday to support the varsity football team! 💙🏈💛

The football team has qualified for the OHSAA playoffs as the #11-seed and will play at #6-seed Seneca East on Friday at 7 p.m. Tickets, $12 for adults and $5 for students, can be purchased online on the OHSAA web site. Tickets can also be purchased at the game on Friday night.

The HS girls cross country team placed 31st at the Div. IV regional meet in Tiffin. Top finisher for the girls was Wren Lewis in 22:16.19 to place 120th. Myles Byrd placed 79th in 17:39.32 for the boys. There were 305 runners in the girls race, 297 in the boys.

The varsity football team lost its regular season finale at home to Hopewell-Loudon, 32-6. Woodmore scored the first points the game, but that is all they would score. Woodmore was outgained, 349-161. WHS scored on the 31-yard pass play in the first four minutes of the game.

The varsity girls soccer team earned a 1-0 win over Bluffton in the Div. V district final game at Clyde. Kelsey Kaylor scored the lone goal with 13:23 left in the first half. Junior Taylor Hill assisted on the goal. Junior Abbie Schmeltz had one save in goal.

This past weekend, both the Girls and Boys Middle School Cross Country teams were the SBC River Division Runner Ups! The girls team had a team score of 28 and was led by Grace Blausey, who had an 8th place finish running 14:13. Earning SBC honors was Audrey Smith and Evelyn Jess, who both placed top 15. The boys team had a score of 42 and was led by Joe Barr, who placed 4th overall with a new PR of 11:46. Other athletes that earned SBC honors were Cohen Broud and Cooper Hillkirk, who both placed in the top 15. Congratulations to both teams on all of their accomplishments this season!

The Wildcat girls soccer team earned a 7-0 win over Ashland Crestview in their Div. V district semifinal game at Clyde. Addie Pleasnick and Willow Lewis each had two goals and Izzy Helmke had two assists. Abbie Schmeltz had three saves in goal. District final is Thursday.

The band earned an overall rating of Excellent at the Maumee Music in Motion contest this past Saturday! They missed qualifying for State by just 2 points from one judge. Congratulations, Band, for an outstanding performance and competition season!

The girls HS cross country team and 3 boys advanced to the regional meet next Saturday in Tiffin. Peyton Damschroder placed 33rd in the district meet to lead the Wildcats to a 6th-place team finish. Myles Byrd, Marcus Schroder, and Quincy Millerschone moved on for the boys team.
