Good Evening Woodmore Parents,
We wish to inform you of an incident that took place as our students arrived by bus for the Varsity Football game at John Adams College and Career Academy (Cleveland John Adams). John Adams School Principal shared that a gun was discharged during an altercation between two students at the perimeter of the campus. Law enforcement officers were on scene upon our students’ arrival and secured the scene throughout the event. Once the scene was secured, our students were escorted back to the bus and are enroute back to Woodmore High School. The safety and security of our students is our top priority. We are grateful for the quick actions of law enforcement., our football coaches and the home school administrative team. We appreciate your patience as we gathered pertinent details to share with you. Again, our students are safe and should be arriving at WHS between 6:15-6:30pm.
A separate van transporting our cheerleaders did not arrive on the scene and was directed to return to the district immediately.
The high school administrative team which includes Principal Loretta Coil, Officer Nik Psota, and School Guidance Counselor, Kyle Clair will be meeting with the football players on Monday morning to answer any questions and provide support resources as needed.
Sincerely,
Dr. Mary Schaeffer
Woodmore Schools Superintendent

Yesterday afternoon our Varsity and JV cheerleaders came to the middle school to help out the 5th/6th grade cheer team learn some new cheers and sharpen up their motions. What a great way to show leadership within Wildcat Nation! Thank you!
