
The varsity boys basketball team lost at home to Lakota, 49-31. Brady Thatcher scored 14 points and Carson Slates added 10 points. The JV team won, 35-23, as Ryan Maynard scored 12 points and Bradley Fetzer chipped in with seven points.

The middle school girls basketball teams lost at Old Fort - the 7th grade lost, 31-10, as Lydia Thomas scored six points. The 8th grade lost, 36-8, as four players scored two points.

The middle school boys basketbal teams split at home with Old Fort. The 7th grade won, 50-25, as Avery Clouse scored 16 points and Joe Barr added 11 points. The 8th grade lost, 53-18, as Jakob Trouten scored seven points and Owen Herrig had four points.

Woodmore junior running back Landon Rich has earned third-team Div. VI all-state honors as selected by the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association. Rich rushed for a school-record 1,823 yards and 18 touchdowns. He helped the Wildcats to a state playoff berth, the first since 2001.

Last Friday, some of our High School students went to the Toledo Museum of Art with Ms. Peace and Mr. Fannin! What an awesome opportunity for our Wildcats!






The girls high school wrestling team placed seventh in the 24-team Bryan Invite. Addison was the tourney champion at 130 pounds while Satori Alter was third at 155 pounds. Vida Hernandez was fourth at 120 pounds and Stella Strong was fifth at 140 pounds.

The middle school girls wrestling team finished third in the 23-team Bryan Invite. Tinley Thieroff placed second in the 98-pound weight class. Elena Reif (122), Reagan Walper (128), and Anires Douglas (134) placed third, and Zion Scherger (116) was sixth.

The high school wrestling team finished third in the 22-team Derr Invite at Northwood. Michael Seeger won the 190-pound weight class while Landon Rich (175), Aiden Cordy (138), and Wyatt Thieroff (120) each placed third. Bailey Jendrzejak was fourth at 215.

The middle school boys wrestling team finished ninth in the Fremont Titsworth Invite. Bryce Ruch won the 104-pound weight class while Lucas Caldwell was the runner-up at 150. Kaden Osborne (205) and Luke Geldine (142) placed fifth.

The varsity girls basketbal team earned a 47-11 win at home over New Riegel as Kara Schneider and Ariana Florio each had 14 points. The JV team won a 2-quarter contest, 26-3. Emma Hahn scored 10 points, Abbie Schmeltz and Lilian Runion each had six points.

The boys JV basketball team defeated North Baltimore at home, 49-15. Logan Campbell scored 14 points and Caden Hilt added 13 points. The boys freshman team lost 45-25 at Lake as Parker Boss scored 10 points and Ryne Donley added six points.

The boys varsity basketball team earned a 57-49 ovetime win over North Baltimore at home. Woodmore won the overtime, 10-2. Brady Thatcher scored 18 points , Brody Ish 13, and Carson Slates 12.

The middle school girls basketball teams lost at home to New Riegel - the 7th grade by a 20-17 score as Emilee Barr scored 17 points; the 8th grade by a score of 37-10, Samantha Alarcon scored 7 points.

The cast and crew of Woodmore's spring musical "Once Upon a Mattress" are invited and encouraged to attend our first official rehearsal on Friday, December 20, 2024. We will meet in the K-8 cafetorium in Woodville from 6-8 and will enjoy pizza, decorating cookies, games and ice breakers. Recently, our fourth grade students investigated careers in the health science field using hands on stations! Students were able to learn about genetic counseling, epidemiology, dental laboratory technicians, art therapy, athletic trainers, exercise physiology, and optometry.
