Today was Farm Day at the Elementary School! Our youngest Wildcats got to hear from our oldest all about FFA, animals, crops, and farming in general! Always a favorite and this year did not disappoint! Check out Facebook for more pictures!

Our 8th graders went bowling today! They then headed to the Big Dipper and park in Genoa. The kids fished, played basketball, wiffle ball, volleyball, pickleball, hacky sack, and more! Sounds like an amazing day! Check out Facebook for more pictures!

Last fall the sixth and seventh graders in the enrichment classes wrote an essay on Americanism for the American Legion in Fremont. This was an essay contest throughout the counties in Ohio. Mrs. Katafias received notification that we had two winners from Woodmore! The second place winner from the seventh grade is Dominic Zakrzewski and the second place winner from the sixth grade is Emma Valasek. Each student is receiving a $50 gift card. Congratulations, Wildcats!

The varsity softball team earned a 3-2 win at Hopewell-Loudon. Olivia Scavio went the distance on the mound and had five strikeouts. Senior Kelsey Kaylor had two hits, a double and triple, and drove in one run. Freshman Rebekah Wauford had a hit and an RBI.

The varsity baseball team lost a 10-0 decision at Hopewell-Loudon in five innings. Hopewell-Loudon scored nine runs in the first two innings. Woodmore managed just two hits in the game.

The varsity softball team lost a regular season game at home to St. Joseph CC, 5-3 Olivia Scavio went the distance on the mound alloswng 3 hits and striking out 10. Woodmore had just 3 hits. Kelsey Kaylor had an RBI single and Scavio drove in a run with a bases loaded walk.

The varsity baseball team split games at St. Mary CC - losing a 12-7 decision in 12 innings the completion of a game earlier this season and they won 7-5 behind the pitching of Keil Almroth who allowed three hits, one earned run, and struck out 11.

The boys middle school track teams finished fourth and the girls team was fifth in the Sandusky Bay Conference Championships at Port Clinton. Evelyn Jess tied for first in the pole vault and the 3200 relay team won that event. For the boys, MIchael Sievert won the 200 hurdles.

The boys HS track team was seventh and the girls were ninth in the Oak Harbor Invite. The girls 3200 relay team won the event in 10:18.18 while a second by Landon Rich in the 100 and a third by two relay teams was the best for the boys.
