
Sophomore Emily Lang placed second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:12.08 in the SBC Bay Division Championships. She also competed in the 200 individual medley placing eighth in a time of 2:49.00.

The Wildcats wrestling team had seven placers to win the John Hughes JV Tournament at Lake with 127 points - Quincy Millerschone (132), Max Morlock (138), Gavin Herrig (144, 1st), Bailey Jendrzejak (157), Connor Herrig (175), Shane Wilson (190, 1st), and Cole Potridge (215).

The varsity girls wrestling team had four placers in the Arcadia Invitational. Stella Strong was 1-1 to place second at 140, Satori Alter was 4-1 at 155 to place second, Mallory Meggitt was 1-3 at 115 to place third, and Caydie Buchanan was 3-2 at 135 to place third.

The varsity girls basketball team lost a 41-38bdecision at Lakota in an SBC River Division contest. Kara Schneider scored eight points to lead Woodmore while Camille Strong and Cameran Quisno both added seven points.

The varsity boys basketball team lost a 65-52 decision at New Riegel in an SBC River Division game. Brady Thatcher scored 21 points to lead Woodmore while Luke Morris chipped in with 15 points.

The girls varsity basketball team earned a 44-32 win at Hopewell-Loudon behind 16 points from Cameran Quisno, nine points from Kelsey Kaylor, and eight points from Camille Strong. Woodmore led 33-17 after three quarters.

The girls JV basketball team posted a 39-16 win at Hopewell-Loudon behind 10 points from Anastasia Pietrowski, nine points from Izzy Helmke, and seven points by Brooke Lowry.

The varsity boys basketball team defeated Lakota, 69-49, at home. Senior Luke Morris scored 33 points to lead Woodmore. Junior Brady Thatcher chipped in with 15 points and junior Brody Ish scored 11 points.

The boys JV basketball team earned a 29-18 win at home over Lakota. Freshman Gavin Donley led the Wildcats with 11 points. Sophomores Camdyn Schwartz and Ryan Maynard both scored eight points.

The varsity boys wrestling team won its own "A" Classic with 253.5 points in the 26-team tournament. Jack Caldwell finished second at 175. Wyatt Thieroff (106), Aiden Cordy (126), Brant Deal (150), Bailey Jendrzejak (157), and Landon Rich (165) all placed third.

The freshman and JV boys basketball team lost games at Hopewell-Loudon. The frosh lost, 47-12, as Calvin Lipstraw scored eight points; the JV team lost, 55-27, as Logan Migliori scored six points.

The varsity boys basketball team lost a 65-43 decision at Hopewell-Loudon. Woodmore led 39-37 entering the fourth quarter. Luke Morris led the way with 17 points, Brady Thatcher added 16 points.

The varsity girls basketball team lost a 54-23 decision at Gibsonburg. Senior Abby Sandrock led Wodmore with seven points. Gibsonburg led 19-0 at one point in the first quarter.

The JV girls basketball team earned a 33-22 win at Gibsonburg. Sophomores Anastasia Pietrowski and Izzy Helmke both scored nine points, Keira Travis added seven points.

Parents and kinship caregivers! Sandusky County JFS just made us aware of this neat program! On the 3rd Tuesday of every month (except August and December), they will be hosting a parent cafe to discuss the joys and challenges of parenting. Bonus - childcare and dinner is provided! This afternoon, as part of their Professional Development Day, high school teachers took a field trip to Fremont to visit two different manufacturers and learn about their companies. Thank you to Green Bay Packaging and Motion Control Robotics for hosting our teachers! They had a great time learning about different opportunities available to our students!

The varsity boys basketball team dropped a 60-42 decision at home to Edison. Luke Morris was the only Wildcat in double figures scoring 19 points. Woodmore trailed 34-16 at halftime. The JV team lost, 52-46. Gavin Donley scored 15 points.
