Don't forget! No school tomorrow, Tuesday, October 8th for District Professional Development!

These ROAR ticket winners were lucky enough to be drawn on Friday to be the first ones to test out our new prize machine. Each Friday, students who have earned a ROAR ticket for the week have a chance to have their ticket drawn to come down to the office to get a prize from our new gumball prize machine. It was definitely a hit!! The students can't wait to see if they are picked this Friday!

Mrs. Alexander's 4th grade was our elementary Reward Board winners for the month of September. They enjoyed their reward of a caramel apple smorgasbord today! Keep up the great job of demonstrating our ROAR expectations of being Respectful, Open Accountable and haing good Relationships. 🥰

It's National Custodian Day, so of course we had to shout out our amazing custodians! Woodmore has the BEST! We thank you for all that you do for our schools, staff, and students!

Last Tuesday, during the tornado warning, our bus drivers, Ms. Schling, Ms. Drill, Ms. Smith, Ms. Dickerson, and Ms. Wolford, did a phenomenal job of thinking on their feet and keeping our Wildcats safe! Whether they returned to the elementary/middle or high school, or took refuge in a district parent's home (emergencies call for out of the box thinking!), we have gotten so many reports this week of appreciation and praise for their efforts. Woodmore Nation appreciates you!

This morning, some awesome fourth graders demonstrated their (amazing) character. After a loud crash in the hallway, students saw that a classmate had dropped all of their belongings on the floor. Within seconds, there was a chorus of "I'll help you!" and a group of students came to help pick everything up.
Way to show kindness, compassion, and support to your fellow student this morning, Wildcats!

Families, Just a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL tomorrow, 9-10-24, for all students due to a Staff Professional Development (PD) Day. Thanks!!

Attention Parents and Students! Don't forget that tomorrow, Mon 9/9/24, starts our Woodmore Homecoming Week! Each school is having a Spirit Week to celebrate! This schedule is for high school and elementary ONLY. Watch for the middle school themes to be posted soon!
Mon - Flannels, jerseys, or sweaters
Tue - No School!
Wed - Spring Colors or rain gear
Thur - Hawaiian, tourist, or beach gear
Fri - Woodmore pride! Woodmore shirt and pj pants

Greetings! I wanted to introduce you to something new our elementary started on Friday...the Masked Reader! Here's how it works!
1. Each week, one person from a specific group of teachers or staff members from within the building will read a story focusing on one of our monthly SEL (social -motional learning) standards.
2. The staff member will read the story while wearing our Wildcat mask.
3. Students will watch and then have to guess from a list of 4 staff members who they think is under the mask.
4. The class will vote and submit their answer.
5. The classes that answer correctly earn class points for their PBIS 'Reward Board'!!
The goal is to get students familiar with the names and faces of those working within our building. And now families in the community can participate as well! Please feel free to watch the video with your children and vote on who you think the masked reader is. They will be revealed on Monday. Good Luck!
