Greetings! I wanted to introduce you to something new our elementary started on Friday...the Masked Reader! Here's how it works! 1. Each week, one person from a specific group of teachers or staff members from within the building will read a story focusing on one of our monthly SEL (social -motional learning) standards. 2. The staff member will read the story while wearing our Wildcat mask. 3. Students will watch and then have to guess from a list of 4 staff members who they think is under the mask. 4. The class will vote and submit their answer. 5. The classes that answer correctly earn class points for their PBIS 'Reward Board'!! The goal is to get students familiar with the names and faces of those working within our building. And now families in the community can participate as well! Are you excited for Open House tonight?? We are! If you're coming to the Elementary and Middle School tonight, check out what our PTO had made! Make sure you park in the back lot, where the car riders are dropped off, and when you come in the door there are now signs directing you where to go and where each grade level is. Thank you Woodmore PTO! (And thank you to Rutledge for showing what a neat photo op the signs provide!) Bonus - check out the yard signs that a parent had put up out back! How cool!

Heads up Woodville community! If you're hearing sirens in Woodville this morning, it's probably us! We have Career Day happening at the elementary school today which includes a few police cruisers and fire trucks, and the kids love to hear the sounds the vehicles can make. Thanks for understanding!

Fourth grade held their end of year awards today. They handed out award for All A's, All A's and B's, and Citizenship. Congratulations Fourth Graders!

Last week our third grade students toured the elementary school and read aloud their Fractured Fairy Tales (that they wrote!) to students in other classes! Awesome job, Wildcats!!

At our most recent Board Meeting, the following individuals were recognized for their amazing contributions to our Woodmore students! R.O.A.R. Awards went to: Lindsay Sabo - "She's special and very valuable to not only the children but to the aprents that get the pleasure of knowing her." Lydia Kigar - "Lydia ALWAYS treats everyone with respect - from the students to the staff and even families of students. She is always cheery and in great spirits!" Excellence in Education went to: Pastor Stephen Lutz, a volunteer at the elementary - "He truly goes above and beyond for our students and his biweekly visits mean so much to our classroom!"
